EDF Trading is a leading European wholesale gas market participant managing a network of physical assets. It is active in offshore production, transportation, storage, and wholesale trading and has the ability to transact across all markets and offer customised products and complete solutions to the EDF Group and third party customers.

EDF Trading has the responsibility for optimising the EDF Group's extensive gas positions on a pan-European basis and has established a dedicated, customer focused, Group gas optimisation service focused on this activity. It also has significant experience in natural gas storage in the form of fast-cycle salt storage, reservoir storage and virtual storage facilities. In transportation, it has a long-term agreement for approximately 10% of the capacity of the UK interconnector gas pipeline linking Belgium to the UK.
